The adjacent South-West coastal path offers walkers and joggers a variety of options,

blessed with stunning scenery, whatever the weather.

A 15-minute walk Eastwards leads to Coverack, a picture-postcard Cornish fishing village.

A 10-minute walk Westwards leads to the Terence Coventry sculpture park where

striking sculptures are on public display outdoors in 3 meadows.

Cyclists will enjoy the many and varied scenic routes offered around the Lizard peninsula.

Horse-riding facilities are also located nearby.

Golfers’ requirements are well-served by the nearby Mullion golf club,

boasting a spectacular championship links course.

Those guests of a more-leisurely mien will relish the peaceful environment offered by "Tideswell"

The constantly changing sea-scape provides a captivating and a compelling back-drop.

"Tideswell" also has a stock of books and DVDs.

Within a few miles drive are attractions as varied as Flambards theme park, Goonhilly Down earth station,

Poldark mine, Tregothnan estate and gardens, RNAS Culdrose, Lizard light-house

and the town of Helston, famous for its annual Floral Dance celebrations in early May,

with its local museum whose collection reflects both the social and industrial history of the Lizard peninsula,

from mining, fishing and farming through to home life in the 18th - 20th centuries.

It is easy to appreciate how Cornwall, particularly its spectacular coastline, has inspired authors such as Winston Graham ("Poldark"), Daphne du Maurier ("Jamaica Inn"), Rosamunde Pilcher ("The Shell Seekers") and artists such as JMW Turner
